There’s a quiet kind of joy that comes from stepping into a space where colour is more than decoration. It’s emotion, memory, and an energy that is made visible. At this thoughtfully designed destination, every hue has intention. From terracotta walls that warm the soul to ocean toned tiles that soothe the mind, and a dining experience where colour sets the mood, every space here becomes part of a journey.
Here, bold tones evoke calm, and creativity is a language spoken through colour, light and texture.
LUX* Belle Mare
A Palette That Moves With You
From the moment you arrive at LUX* Belle Mare, the setting feels quietly expressive. Sculptural white columns rise gently from the pathway, framing your view toward the pool and palms beyond.
There’s a calm confidence to the architecture. Curved edges, tiled arches, and organic materials give each corner its own rhythm. Walls in soft apricot and muted blush reflect the warmth of the Mauritian sun, while breezeways and open-air walkways let the landscape flow through.
You’re not just arriving, you’re shifting pace.

The Rhythm of Rest
Like a quiet current, as you move around the resort, color and contrast flows. Upon entering the suites and villas, a calmness emerges.
In the oceanfront suites, soft corals and sea greens mirror the surrounding landscape, creating an atmosphere that feels both intentional and effortless. Textures play a supporting role with woven rugs, curved timber joinery, and hand-plastered walls soften the space and give the eye somewhere to rest.

Tucked away and ramed by palms and softened by the filtered light, villas feel private without ever feeling enclosed. Interiors echo the same thoughtful palettes with warm neutrals, textured finishes, and subtle details that nod to the landscape outside. Each space flows effortlessly from indoor to outdoor, with pools, terraces, and open skies becoming part of the living space.
Here, it’s not just the privacy that stands out, it’s the way the design holds you, quietly, without needing to say much at all.

Atmospheric Leisure & Dining
In the bolder spaces, like the restaurants and bars, the colour never overwhelms. It lifts. Tiles in warm earth tones catch the afternoon light. Painted arches guide you from one space to the next. Nothing feels abrupt each detail invites movement, curiosity, and pause. Here, design doesn’t sit still. It breathes with the island.

A Mood All Its Own - Duck Laundry
Among the many places to dine, Duck Laundry offers a distinct shift in tone. Step inside and the palette deepens with an intentional sensory experience. Jade velvet banquettes curve around dark timber tables. Light is softer here, reflecting off polished surfaces and red-glazed ceramics.
The atmosphere is warm and luxurious, yet remains grounded, layered with subtle references to Chinese craftsmanship and form. An open kitchen anchors the room, offering glimpses of handmade dumplings, Peking duck, and delicate meal preparation in motion. There’s theatre here, but it never feels loud.
Like the rest of the resort, it’s a space where design is felt before it’s seen. Every detail invites you to slow down and savour one flavour, one colour, one moment at a time.

By the Ocean, With Barefoot Ease
As the mood lightens and the sea draws near, dining shifts outdoors. Here, tables sit beneath woven canopies or along soft stone paths that edge the sand. The palette softens again, with linen white, driftwood, the pale blue of sky reflected in water.
There’s no urgency here. Meals unfold slowly, with fresh ingredients served to the rhythm of waves and sea breeze. You might arrive barefoot from the beach or linger long after sunset as lanterns flicker into the evening. Drinks inspire curiosity, with colors and flavors to delight all senses. This isn’t fine dining in the traditional sense it’s something quieter. More connected. A way of nourishing that feels like part of the landscape, where the setting is as fulfilling as the food itself.

A Stay That Stirs and Settles
LUX* Belle Mare is full of contrast. It's playful yet calm, expressive whilst remaining grounded. It’s a place where colour isn’t used to impress, but to destress. Where design doesn’t shout, rather gently guides you into rhythm within the setting.
